SIS - Sowing into Sisters
Our Women's Ministry has grown along natural lines of friendship, encouragement and support. Our events are designed to promote accountability, relationships and mentoring for those that want to grow. We love to get together to pray, learn, challenge each other in our gifting and calling, and sometimes just to have fun!
Our annual retreat has been the seedbed of relationships that strengthen our church family ties. We take a weekend away from our jobs and families to get re-charged, in body, soul and spirit. We have a support structure in place to help each other in times of need, providing hands-on help with meals, child care, or just a listening ear. Our in-house jail ministry gives us a chance to answer one of the cries of Jesus' heart, "when I was in prison you visited me."
As women, we have the privilege to represent God's heart uniquely, at a time when the world tells us a strong woman needs to act like a man. With godly confidence that comes from a secure identity, we can walk through doors of opportunity in ministry, secular employment and public service. There's nothing off limits to women at Open Door, and in the Kingdom.
