As followers of Christ we are learning to share the Gospel with friends, family, and in the marketplace, with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Words of knowledge, words of wisdom, and the gift of discernment are useful "tools" from the Lord to demonstrate to others His care and compassion for them. Many people have been healed of physical maladies in area stores, accepted Jesus as savior, or just "been blessed" by the encounters with our Treasure Hunt Teams.

For the outreaches, church members gather on Wednesday evening to pray together, and listen for clues from the Holy Spirit that will lead them to the treasures, or the people in need who are out and about town. Some of these insights may come as mental pictures, or just words, and, as they are seen and recorded, they are discussed with the team, and a kind of "treasure map" comes together. Clues could refer to appearances, like a" green shirt with black pants," or places, or unusual sights, or noticeable injuries. The team prays for the Spirit's guidance and heads out to find the treasures and demonstrate God's love.
