TABERNACLE OF DAVID

In that day I will raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins and I will build it as in the days of old. Amos 9:11

How can I describe one of my favorite places?
Tabernacle of David is a place that is for those who are hungry – simply hungry for the Presence of Jesus. A more recognizable phrase might be, “House of Prayer”, but sometimes it’s not just that. Sometimes it’s a place of loud Shouts and of declaring mighty things into the Heavenly places. Sometimes it’s a place of Dance and wild abandonment. Sometimes it’s a place of painting and children putting crayon to paper and saying, “Daddy, Look!” Sometimes Tabernacle of David is a very, very still, waiting place where not a sound is heard except for the sound of breathing. And then a cry rises up, a response to the Lord, and then another voice, and another joins in. Sometimes Tabernacle of David is a time of shedding old things, of tears, and sometimes it’s a place of laughter and tears because there is just no other way to express the joy.
But above all, Tabernacle of David is definitely this – a house where we honor our God and place Him in the Highest of Esteem – a place where we give Him the GLORY and HONOR that He rightfully deserves!
Tabernacle of David happens every Saturday night at Open Door City Church, beginning at 7:30pm. Currently our team leaders are Mike Baker and Heidi Lindenberger, blessed with awesome team members. Not only do we have our band members playing, but we have Intercession, Prophetic Declarations, Children’s’ art.
Childcare is not currently provided, but the children are welcomed to come and express their worship alongside their parents. There are coloring supplies available for our children. Every Saturday, there is an open-mic available for people to share scriptures, prophetic words, visions from God, and the like.
We have a vision for much growth and expansion for Tab’D. We see new songs coming forth and the spiritual atmosphere being changed by our Praises to Jesus. We see Healing happening and teams going out on the streets, hunting for Jesus’ treasures. It’s exciting to hear God’s heart!
