Our culture encourages independence and isolation. Even though our corporate meetings are very interactive, most people hunger for relationships that are deeper than large meetings can afford. Many are hungering for close relationships where they can experience a sense of belonging, a listening ear, encouragement, accountability, prayer support and counsel. Also, many are looking for a place where they can learn to give what they have to others in a safe environment. Life Groups are a great way to facilitate all these desires.
Although Life Groups in our church take different forms, they all share common elements centered around building relationships and encouraging the members to live as revivalists in a revival culture and to take that culture to where they live, work and play. Because all Life Groups meet on a regular basis and are small in size, each person can get to know the others in the group in a personal way. Each Life Group is interactive. The groups involve their members in discussion, exercising of spiritual gifts, prayer and loving others. The members are built up by each other and the Lord resulting in more life.

Mike and Paula Baker
Our life group meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays. We're studying the Supernatural Ways of Royalty mixed with continuing social activities. We’ll switch off with at least one other person in hosting the meetings. Snacks will be included. We would also maintain an ongoing list of prayer requests. John and Marian Leonardson
We meet the 2nd and 4th Tuesday every month at 6:30 pm at various homes. Contact John for the current location. Our group is an ongoing life group which includes testimonies, prayer for each other, encouraging each other’s spiritual gifts, practicing those gifts and some Bible teaching. We also feature various outings for both social and spiritual adventure reasons (like a treasure hunt). Any new person or established member is welcome. Bob and Pam Thompson
Our group is focused on kingdom building. The goal is to become more intimate with God by worshipping Him, building relationships with each other, allowing each person to use their God given gifts and doing various studies. We do outreaches to express God's love for everyone, and plan various social activities during the year. Dinner is served. Children are welcome. Our Life Group emphasizes building friendships and growing a small community. We want to create an iron-sharpening environment where people are encouraged in their gifts and deeper levels of fellowship are attained. Plus we really want to have fun! Apartment Outreach
Daniel Wood is leading a group every Wednesday. Join Daniel as he and his team inspire the youth through worship, teaching, prayer and activation. They meet at the ODCC office at 5:30. From 6-7 pm they are at the Emerald Hills Apartment office. Contact: Daniel at 214-549-4947.
Specialty Life Groups
Deep Waters – This group has built deep relationships over several years. They meet weekly to challenge one another to grow in the Lord, to grow strong relationships of honor and accountability, and to reach outside themselves to invite others into a closer relationship with the Lord. They also do service projects to meet needs of people in our church and the community. Luke Champlin leads this group.
